WhatsApp calling means taking and placing real voice calls over WhatsApp, on the same switchboard, logged the same way as a normal call.

It matters more than it sounds, because it is the one route to a working desk that needs no telecom paperwork at all. No trunk, no number, no carrier — a desk can be making recorded, transcribed, filed calls on day one while the PSTN number is still being provisioned.

You need a WhatsApp Business number, which you very likely already have. You do not need a trunk or a PSTN number.
Have you actually placed a call on it?

Can customers ring us on it?
Yes, and the call arrives on the same switchboard as everything else.
Is call quality as good as a normal call?
